Miguel Flores-Roman
Co-Center Director, Learning Empowered Campus
Miguel Flores-Roman was born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico and was raised during his youth in Queens, New York. He graduated with Bachelor of Arts with specialty in Education for Early Childhood and Elementary Level (4th - 6th) at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico. His career in the field of education started in 2008. Miguel is continuously taking courses and credentials in early childhood for professional growth. He has been with Learning Empowered since 2016. Miguel started as a preschool lead teacher, was promoted to Assistant Director, and became a Center Director.
He owes his love for teaching to his mother who came from Asturias, Spain and became a social worker in the Cabo Rojo District for more than 20 years. She was passionate in educating the people. Miguel learned the importance of education from her and decided to take the path to become a teacher.
Through family support, he is able to take the opportunities to advance his career and consistently gaining knowledge to serve children and families.
