My name is Kate Malcolm, and I am the new supervisor of the Triangles Program. I come to the program with over ten years of early childhood experience and almost ten years of mental health counseling experience. I grew up in Vermont and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Vermont. I moved to Florida in 2001 and obtained my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University. My work experience includes teaching positions in early childhood education, social work and case management positions and counseling positions working with children and families.

I have been married for almost 25 years to my husband, who is an elementary school teacher. We have two children, a daughter who is married with two children and lives in Massachusetts and a son who lives in Florida. We also have a large goldendoodle that we treat as our third child. In my free time I like to knit, cook, and read. I enjoy spending time outside and being in nature. I describe myself as a lifelong learner and I love new experiences, meeting new people and trying new things. I try to start every day with an attitude of gratitude and I attempt to view the world through a strengths based lens.

I believe that every child is full of abilities and strengths, and as adults in their life, it is our job to help them identify those abilities and develop those strengths so that they can reach their potential.
